How Your Telehealth Visit Works
Alpha 1 Labs partners with OutfitMD to coordinate clinical telehealth evaluations. All doctor visits are conducted directly between you and a qualified medical professional. Alpha 1 Labs is not a medical practice or pharmacy and does not practice medicine or dispense medication.
Consultation Format
Synchronous video or telephone visit — your choice when scheduling.
Typical Duration
~10–20 minutes per visit, depending on protocol. Follow-ups are shorter.
Provider Review Timeline
Typically 24–48 business hours after a complete intake is received.
Informed Consent
Acknowledged electronically before any treatment is prescribed.
The Consultation Process, Step by Step
1. Online Medical Intake
You complete a confidential health-history questionnaire through Alpha 1 Labs. Your Protected Health Information (PHI) is transmitted directly to OutfitMD and applicable laboratory partners — Alpha 1 Labs does not retain PHI in its own systems.
Includes current medications, symptoms, treatment goals, and relevant biomarker panel results.
2. Provider Review & Evaluation
A qualified medical professional reviews your intake, biomarker diagnostics, and health history to determine whether treatment is clinically appropriate and safe for you.
Typical review timeline: 24–48 business hours after a complete intake is received.
3. Telehealth Consultation (Video or Phone)
Eligible patients have a synchronous video or telephone consultation conducted directly with a licensed provider through OutfitMD. You select the format that works best for you when scheduling.
Typical duration: 10–20 minutes, depending on protocol complexity. Follow-up visits are usually shorter.
4. Informed Consent & Prescribing
Before treatment begins, you acknowledge the Telehealth Informed Consent. If the provider determines treatment is appropriate, a patient-specific prescription is issued to a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy partner for fulfillment.
No prescription is ever issued without a clinical evaluation by a licensed provider.
What to Expect During Your Visit
Video Visit
A face-to-face secure video consultation conducted through OutfitMD's telehealth platform. Ensure you have a stable internet connection, a private location, and a device with a working camera and microphone.
Phone Visit
A telephone consultation with a licensed provider. Useful where video is not available or not preferred. Be in a quiet, private location where you can speak freely about your health.
In either format, the provider will review your health history and biomarker data, discuss treatment goals and risks, answer your questions, and determine whether a prescribed protocol is clinically appropriate for you. A physical hands-on examination is not possible during a telehealth visit; if clinical findings warrant in-person evaluation, the provider may recommend a follow-up.
Informed Consent & the Telehealth Consent Form
Before any treatment is prescribed, you must read and acknowledge the Telehealth Informed Consent. This document explains the nature, expected benefits, and potential risks and limitations of telehealth services, the validity of prescriptions, and your rights as a patient — including the right to withdraw consent at any time.
By submitting your medical intake and proceeding with a clinical consultation, you certify that you have read, understood, and agree to the Informed Consent document in its entirety.
Privacy: Health information submitted through clinical intake, medical evaluation, or laboratory workflows is transmitted directly to OutfitMD and/or applicable laboratory partners. Alpha 1 Labs does not use its own systems as the system of record for clinical records or laboratory results.
Telehealth Is Not for Medical Emergencies
If you experience a medical emergency, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. Do not rely on electronic communications or portal messages for urgent medical needs.
